Overstimulation, chronic tension or prolonged stress
The impact of prolonged overstimulation and tension will only increase. It is better to prevent than to cure. That is why at attendo³ we pay particular attention to a positive energy balance. Here are some tips:
- Get enough exercise, possibly by doing sports with an emphasis on your breathing.
- Be aware of the tension in your body to prevent overstretching.
- Brain energy requires nutritious food containing lots of vegetables, nuts, seeds, and plenty of water. Sugars are inevitably a source of ‘fake’ energy.
- Create brain-calming moments: spend time in nature, don't always be online, listen to relaxing music, play with the children or pets.
- Be a little less strict with yourself and also compliment or pat yourself on the back.
- Spend time with your family, friends, or hobbies and let go of the ‘shoulds’.
- Thinking about a problem in terms of solutions is okay; dwelling on it consumes a lot of energy.
- Identify for yourself what gives you energy and what costs it and build up energy reserves.
- Stay true to yourself by paying attention to what works for you to experience more joy, energy, and life satisfaction.
- Take time to relax and literally and figuratively get your breath back, and avoid overexertion or hyperventilation.
- If you experience dizziness, overstimulation to the point of heart palpitations: a slow breath-strengthening yoga exercise can bring some relief.
- Ask yourself what is truly important: living or being lived, take a breath-pause!
