Aveve: a team assessment for stronger collaboration

How does the collaboration and communication within the team work? For the Aveve plus store in Herentals, we clearly mapped it through a team assessment and set up targeted follow-up courses.

01The organisation

AVEVE is the go-to reference for gardening, animal care, and baking fun throughout Belgium. Aveve is an expert in garden centres and thanks to its knowledge from all aspects of agriculture, can offer the best products to the passionate gardener, animal lover, or baking enthusiast. A customised team assessment was organised for Aveve.

02The challenge

In the words of the customer

As the independent manager of the Aveve plus store in Herentals, I have engaged attendo to organise a team assessment and thus map out how the collaboration and communication between the team are going.

The employees come into contact with customers daily and are thus part of Aveve's face. It is therefore important that the team can work optimally and that they radiate job satisfaction.

03Our approach

This is how we tackled it

1

Initially, an intake meeting was scheduled with me to hear how I, as the business owner, experience the collaboration with my employees and how I want to continue growing with the team in the future.

2

Subsequently, individual conversations were scheduled with all the employees, without my being present. This gave the people the opportunity to discuss matters regarding the general operation and their personal goals in complete safety.

04The result

What it yielded

Based on the audit, an audit report was prepared that perfectly mapped out the pain points.

In the report, I was able to read how the employees experience their jobs today, without any reference being made to the comments of individual individuals.

The report gave me insight into how the employees thought about their job content, working conditions, their manager, collaboration, and their personal development. Based on these findings, three specific paths were proposed. We chose to start two paths together with attendo: an individual coaching path and a path to establish responsibilities.

In short
A clear audit report on job content, working conditions, leadership, collaboration and development
Anonymous insights, without reference to individual employees
Two follow-up paths: individual coaching and defining responsibilities
“

As an independent party, attendo quickly mapped out how I could improve the human aspect within my organisation. Their approach is professional, concrete, and well-thought-out. Thanks to the follow-up processes, specific tools were implemented that I can use further in the future.
